Sigismund

King Sigismund mainly ruled Sweden from Poland. He worked to strengthen his position and that of Catholicism in the country. He was deposed following a civil war.

Anna of Austria

Anna was Queen of Sweden and Poland. She had five children with Sigismund, including Vladislav who became King of Poland. Anna was a Catholic, and supported her husband in his fight against the Swedish opposition.
